Our school –Škofja Loka Grammar School, Slovenia – has been involved with the project since the beginning.
This year our students drew their own European symbols, they put together a mini guide to Slovenia and looked for recipes of traditional Slovenian dishes. A selection of their activities was presented on the official Spring Day site, but the whole project can also be seen on our school website with a click on the Spring Day symbol.
On 23rd March at 10 am the bell of peace was rung and Mr. Romano Prodi’s message was read in all classes after which there was an open discussion about EU and the enlargement.
The driving force of the project were (still are) professors of English Jože Bogataj and Mateja Prevodnik Mayland.
